Gregory Clark's timeless short tales are as fresh as the day he wrote them, accompanied by cartoons by "Jimmie" Frise - the same illustrator who drew for Clark's Toronto Star columns. Although mainly a humour writer, Clark was also a war correspondent who gave Canada some of the first descriptions of the action at Vimy Ridge, among other poignant war tales. The last tale here involves his description of Edward VIII's unveiling of the Vimy Ridge memorial.
