What the townspeople, the zoo employees, and the reader learn is that "Many Hands Make Light Work."The book includes a delightful legend ("part fact, part whimsy") in the back that describes/explains all of the animals and other interesting objects found in the story. Two important characteristics of Patterson's first children's book (*It's Never Too Late to Be Nice*) repeat in his second: David Habben has created wonderful color illustrations...and the message in *The Great Zooberry Debacle* is as much for adults as for children!
