The second children's book by Kerry Patterson, *The Great Zooberry Debacle* shows the reader how chaos can reign when people don't help each other. The main character, Sofia T. Burke, leads the way by her example and encouragement to rescue the town's zoo. What the townspeople, the zoo employees, and the reader learn is that "Many Hands Make Light Work."The book includes a delightful legend ("part fact, part whimsy") in the back that describes/explains all of the animals and other interesting objects found in the story. Two important characteristics of Patterson's first children's book (*It's Never Too Late to Be Nice*) repeat in his second: David Habben has created wonderful color illustrations...and the message in *The Great Zooberry Debacle* is as much for adults as for children!
