The Greasy Creek Boys is a childhood memory of two young boys who lived in a beautiful world that no longer exists in the hills of Appalachia. The story of The Greasy Creek Boys is a part of my history of Appalachia during the late 1960's. All chapters and the characters in those chapters have a truth about them. But like the politicians that sat on our front porch back in my day...all had a tall tale to tell. Like them I have embellished the story of The Greasy Creek Boys just a little.
