
This is a paperback pamphlet, published by the Arizona Historical Foundation, Tempe, AZ, in 1969 for the Heard Museum, Phoenix, AZ, commemorating the gift by Arizona Sen. Barry Goldwater of his kachina doll collection to the museum; pp. 27, size 10" x 7" x 3/16'". The cover is a watercolor by the eminent Hopi artist Fred Kabotie, of the "Water Drinking Dance," painted c. 1925, from the Heard Museum Collection. Sen. Goldwater writes of the collection, along with commentary by Byron Harvey, then the Museum's curator. Included at 16 color photographs of various dolls from the collection.
