
Milestones & Millstones. Side by side, these two words look almost identical. Change one letter and they become opposites. One measures progress, the other is a giant stone hung around our necks, stopping progress.I love this concept, believing that simple changes in our lives can make us better. Simple moments of joy can lift us out of dark places. Simple flashes of enlightenment can change our view and our point of view.I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease about four years, ago and my decline is now accelerating. Very large stones weigh me down more and more each day. And, anxiety and depression, two things I’ve heretofore never experienced, cloud my outlook and complicate my plans.
