Crossing the Third Threshold is less about the actual crossing over the threshold of third level/degree and more about the experience of being there. It is a book, more of a personal memoir, of working as an advanced level practitioner and all that comes with it. It is about the things we talk about in private and never reveal to our adoring flock. These are the TRUE Inner Court Mysteries that never see the light of day in real life. This book is written primarily as a love letter for those who have reached advanced levels of Witchcraft in all its forms. Those who are not Witches might well identify with parts of it, but the general gist is toward Craft. The language used will be Crafty and if you aren’t Craft, you will probably make it through just fine with some presumptions of what the words mean. If you were led to read this book, you are ready to know and understand what’s in here anyway. The language the author uses, in addition to the nomenclature of Craft, is direct and personal. The author talks to YOU; not to a crowd of people in a lecture hall. It's from one high level practitioner to another.Too often Pagan leaders feel that they are alone and that no one understands the stresses involved with leading a group of people while you are trying to go through your own life lessons at the same time. This book is not specifically a “how to” manual, but more of an “I get it. I hear you.” hug. In addition to a number of musings about the joys and sorrows of passing beyond third level/degree, this book also includes excerpts from the author’s own book of shadows.(Warning: Contains adult language because the author wrote this book in "stream of consciousness" form and in her stream of consciousness, she swears.)
