Il “Sistema dei Parti e Omicidi” prevede infatti che sia gli uomini che le donne possono contribuire allo sviluppo demografico diventando “gestanti”: i gestanti capaci di portare a termine con successo dieci gravidanze sono autorizzati a uccidere una persona a loro discrezione. Un matrimonio pulito, è invece la storia di una coppia intenzionata a trovare un metodo per avere figli senza rapporti sessuali, senza ruoli di genere, e soprattutto senza gerarchie.
