Two renowned investment advisors and authors of the bestseller The Great Reckoning bring to light both currents of disaster and the potential for prosperity and renewal in the face of radical changes in human history as we move into the next century. The Sovereign Individual details strategies necessary for adapting financially to the next phase of Western civilization.Few observers of the late twentieth century have their fingers so presciently on the pulse of the global political and economic realignment ushering in the new millennium as do James Dale Davidson and Lord William Rees-Mogg. Their bold prediction of disaster on Wall Street in Blood in the Streets was borne out by Black Tuesday. In their ensuing bestseller, The Great Reckoning, published just weeks before the coup attempt against Gorbachev, they analyzed the pending collapse of the Soviet Union and foretold the civil war in Yugoslavia and other events that have proved to be among the most searing developments of the past few years. In The Sovereign Individual, Davidson and Rees-Mogg explore the greatest economic and political transition in centuries—the shift from an industrial to an information-based society. This transition, which they have termed "the fourth stage of human society," will liberate individuals as never before, irrevocably altering the power of government. This outstanding book will replace false hopes and fictions with new understanding and clarified values.

Look to Brazil for safe, stable investmentsAs the future of the American economy seems to get bleaker by the day, it is tempting to look abroad for business opportunities. Europe and Asia don't provide much hope, but what about somewhere that's both closer to home and sunny year-round? In "Brazil is the New America: How Brazil Offers Upward Mobility in a Collapsing World, " James D. Davidson shows that the current financial situation in Brazil is a haven for those looking to make money in a world in turmoil. With a population just 62 percent the size of that of the US, Brazil has added 15,023,633 jobs over the past eight years, while the US has lost millions. In a world burdened by bankrupt governments and aging populations, Brazil is solvent, with two people of working age for every dependent. In a world of "Peak Oil" Brazil is energy independent, with 70 billion barrels of oil, 60% of the world's unused arable land, and 15% of its fresh water. Comparatively non-leveraged--and with significant room for growth and expansion, as well as vast natural resources, Brazil is a haven of opportunity.Written by James D. Davidson, the editor/publisher of "Strategic Investment" and cofounder of Agora and the media outlet, Newsmax, "Brazil is the New America details: "How the original "America" now embodies the brightest hope for realizing the American Dream while the "Old America" is headed for a dramatic decline in the standard of livingInvestment opportunities not only for those willing to relocate, but anyone who can consider investing thereThe cost structure of employment in Brazil versus the United StatesBrazil has already learned its lesson about the dangers of inflation. Cash has taken the place of credit, and high interest rate returns are now the norm.

"Some economists are right. Some are wrong. But only one is Jim Davidson, with insights that are original , profound and disturbingly incise. Witty, provocative and clever- Davidson opens the fruit of modern economics, government and politically correct public policy and discovers it is rotten. What's more....eat too much of it.... and it may prove fatal." - William Bonner, President and Founder, Agora Inc.

Brazil is the new USb Brazil will be the only "future country" bGoldman Sachs points out Brazil, Russia, India and China as emerging advanced economies that will join the G7 50 years later, BRICs), Brazil has emerged as a leader in emerging economies. Recently, however, these countries are showing signs of instability such as falling stocks, bonds and currencies. Brazil, in particular, faced a grave crisis, such as the widespread wage, social welfare, corruption, and corruption that spread to the massive demonstrations in the wake of public price increases.Brazil is not simply a emerging, It is a future country that the whole world is paying attention to. While the United States, which was the center of the world economy, is moving toward bankruptcy day by day, Brazil is a new economy with huge resources, vast land, low consumer debt, young population, and rapidly growing per capita GDP. It is emerging as a successful investment. In this regard, this book specifically explains why Brazil is the emerging economic power of the Americas, and how and why the world economy is changing now. Under the changed world order, Brazil is likely to provide us with many economic opportunities.

From the back of the book "Wealth and freedom are increasing for 30% of Americans, but for the other 70% - those dependent on government promises - life is getting worse. That's the word from the eerily accurate publication that predicted the Soviet break-up, the Tokyo crash, the devaluation of sterling, the 1993 plunge in oil prices and the Whitewater scandal."
