A hard-fighting soldier's story-from the trenches of America's first battle in the Cold War.From the devastating counterattack at Unsan to the thirty-four months he spent in captivity-a period of years in which giving up surely meant dying-Col. Bill Richardson's instinct for leadership and stubborn will to survive saw him through one valley of death after the next. Valleys of Death is a stirring story of survival and determination that offers a fascinating, intimate look at the soldiers who fought America's first battle of the Cold War in the unvarnished words of one of their own. Richardson endured many long months of starvation, torture, sleep deprivation, and Chinese attempts at indoctrination, yet maintained defiance under conditions designed to break the mind, body, and spirit of men.

Also, to relate to nature to embrace the beauty we derive from her surroundings. Accepting mankind had no input into that which nature has endowered us there is one verse, to which I compare mankind to the changing seasons. The personal verses relate to those of us who suffered the loss of a loved one.Dreams Have MeaningsThroughout our lives, we have varying dreamswhich takes us to places, of many extremesBut...what is a dream, is it a wish or hopewithout them, I wonder, how would we copeSo let's close our eyes, let's dare to dreamthey can bring you joys, so rarely seenMost common of all, I believe are of lovea precious gift, sent from heaven aboveSo gather your dreams, always keep them closeespecially those, that to you mean the mostFor a time may come, when it may seemlife's helped you achieve an "impossible dream"
